Privacy Policy
Information We Collect
To run the journal, Harrison Academic Press collects personal details such as names, email addresses, institutional affiliations and ORCID iDs. Authors, reviewers, editorial board members and registered users provide these during submission, peer review, editorial correspondence and site registration.
How We Use It
Names and email addresses entered on JPPLD's website are used only for the journal's stated purposes: handling submissions and review, communicating with you, and publishing. They are not used for anything else, or given to anyone else, without your explicit consent.
Who We Share It With
We never sell, rent or trade personal information. Limited information may be shared with:
- Reviewers, to carry out double-blind peer review
- The iThenticate plagiarism-screening service
- Services such as Zenodo (DataCite) and the PKP Preservation Network, for discoverability and long-term preservation of published articles
- Legal or regulatory authorities, where the law requires it
Health Information in Manuscripts
Health and other personal data are sensitive. Authors must de-identify participant data before submitting, and the journal treats any health information it receives in manuscripts as strictly confidential.
How Long We Keep It
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for these purposes and for the journal's editorial and archival obligations.
Your Rights
You can contact the editorial office at any time to see, correct or delete your personal information. Some details, such as author names on published articles, are part of the permanent scholarly record and cannot be removed.
