Repository Policy

JAIIS publishes under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), so authors already have standing permission to deposit and share their work. There is nothing to ask us for.

What You May Deposit, at Any Time

  • Preprint: the version before peer review
  • Postprint: the accepted manuscript after peer review, before our formatting
  • Published PDF: the final version as it appears in the journal

Any of these can go into an Open Archives Initiative-compliant repository, an institutional repository or your own website, with no embargo.

Conditions

  • Cite the original publication in JAIIS clearly, with a link to the published version where you can
  • No embargo applies, so the published version may be deposited the day it appears

Where to Deposit

To reach the widest audience, we suggest a recognised institutional or subject repository, such as your institution's repository, Zenodo, or a recognised subject archive in your field.

This policy covers copies that authors deposit themselves. It sits alongside, and separately from, our Archiving Policy, which describes how the journal preserves its own archive through the PKP Preservation Network.
